Cookie Policy
Last updated: 5 September 2026.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. On this site, I also use your browser's local storage (localStorage) to remember your choice about analytics cookies, so the notice doesn't reappear on every visit.
2. Cookies I use
This site uses only two categories of cookies:
- Cookie preference (
datamaxgen_consent, browser local storage): stores whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. It doesn't send data to any third party. Duration: until you clear this site's data in your browser. No consent is required because it's strictly necessary for the site to remember your choice. - Analytics (
_ga,_ga_<id>, from Google Analytics 4): measure visits and site usage on an anonymised basis (IP anonymised), so I can understand what's working and improve it. Provider: Google LLC. Duration: up to 13 months. These cookies are only installed if you click "Accept" on the notice; if you click "Reject" or haven't responded yet, no cookie is stored and you aren't identified — Google only receives an anonymous, aggregated signal, with no personal data, which it uses to estimate the site's overall behaviour (what Google calls "Consent Mode").
3. How to manage or withdraw your consent
You can change your mind whenever you like.
This brings the cookie notice back up so you can choose again. You can also get the same result by clearing datamaxgen.com's browsing data (cookies and site data) from your browser settings.
You can also block Google Analytics cookies more generally by installing the official Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
4. More information
To find out how I handle your personal data in general, see the Privacy Policy.
